Here at the Premiere Dallas Dental Center we offer our patients a complete range of general and family dental services. We constantly preach that an ounce of prevention is worth a ton of treatment. This is why our Dallas dentist office provides the most cutting edge treatments to help minimize the amount of treatment you will need over time.

Here are a list of several of the most common procedures we offer at the general dentistry level:

Dental Hygiene:

As we stated above, an ounce of prevention is worth a ton of treatment. This means that it’s crucial you have regular checkups. This ensures that any potentially expensive or intensive dental problems are caught at an early stage before they can become large painful and expensive problems. At The Academy of General Dentistry, they suggest that everyone regardless of age, comes in for a checkup twice per year.

If the surface of the tooth is ever damaged or altered by tooth decay, has a slight fracture, or is simply worn down over time, a filling may be the proper corse of action. A filling strengthens the overall integrity of the tooth and most importantly the decay is minimized and stopped from spreading. If the decay is not met with a filling in the early stages, more intensive and expensive dental work may be required.

In some cases a dental crown may be the procedure chosen by your Dallas dentist. This procedure is one where a dental crown or cap is bonded to what’s left of the tooth or dental implant. This procedure restores the shape, size, and strength of the tooth. If you properly take care of your crown you can expect the it to last from 5 to 15 years.

Dentures are a set of custom fit teeth to fit a patients mouth when all or numerous teeth are missing. Our Dallas dentist office offers partial dentures and full dentures. Partial dentures are necessary for patients missing 1 or just a few teeth and a full denture set is for patients missing all of their teeth. If you have had your teeth removed for any number of reasons it is crucial that you get a well fitting denture set. Dentures function to give you teeth to chew and breakdown food, but also to support the muscles in your face so they do not recede and make you look older. Dentures also help with speech.

We will take impressions of your mouth here in our Dallas dentist office and then send out those impressions to be custom cut in a dental lab.

This procedure is put in when there is a gap of a few teeth missing. This procedure is sometimes called a partial denture. Fake teeth are attached to a gum colored base. This apparatus is then attached to implants with tiny visible studs. Assuming proper care and no accidents, patients can expect their dental bridge to last anywhere from 10 to 20 years.

Dental Implants:

Dental implants have become common practice over the last 20 years and in the last 10 years the science on these procedures has become quite amazing. These implants can be placed for 1 or all teeth depending on need and patient preference. Your Dallas dentist will use surgical grade Titanium for each of your implants and with today’s quality, this is almost always a lifetime solution that will not need much or any maintenance once in place.
